Creative fun and visual pleasure are two things that go hand in hand with art; whether that be online or offline.

It is fitting that Google should honor Calder's work through their latest doodle because they capture both of these creative elements in their work.
Google have done outstanding website programming work with this particular doodle because they have not only created the all important shadow you would expect with any Calder (kinetic art) mobile, but they have even gone as far as actually enabling you to spin it around!

Google doodles have made Googling a fun and enjoyable search engine experience. Google doodles were first created in 1998 and over the years have become a much anticipated feature of the web browsing experience.

The Calder family set up the Calder Foundation in 1987 to continue his support of emerging artists and continue to share his work with the world.
The masters of the search engine celebrate the master of kinetic art with true web design flair.
